The recruitment process will adhere to the guidelines outlined by the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, as per O.M. No. 14034/01/2013-Estt(D) dated 03.10.2013 and O.M. No. DOPT 1668767575965 dated 18.11.2022, subject to any amendments made up to 9th November 2023.
**Pay Scale:**
(a) Postal Assistant: Level 4 (Rs 25,500 – Rs.81,100)
(b) Sorting Assistant: Level 4 (Rs 25,500 – Rs.81,100)
(c) Postman: Level 3 (Rs 21,700 – Rs.69,100)
(d) Mail Guard: Level 3 (Rs 21,100 – Rs.69,100)
(e) Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Level 1 (Rs 18,000 – Rs.56,900)
**Window for Application Form Correction:**
Level 4 (Rs 25,500 – Rs.81,100)
**Vacancy Details:** Postal Circle-wise and cadre-wise vacancies are provided in Annexure-1.
**Age Limit:**
The age limit for various posts is specified in the table below, with the closing date for online applications determining the age eligibility.
**Education and Other Qualifications:**
**For Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant:**
– Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University
– Proficiency in computer operations
**For Postman/Mail Guard:**
– 12th standard pass from a recognized Board
– Knowledge of the local language of the Postal Circle or Division
– Proficiency in computer operations
– Valid two-wheeler or Light Motor Vehicle license (only for the Postman position; exempted for Persons with Benchmark Disability)
Note: Candidates not proficient in the local language at the time of application can still apply but must pass a local language test after appointment, as per the decision of the concerned Postal Circle.
